How do you pass the road test on the very first try?

By choosing the right school, a good road test site, and getting the right amount of practice. The road test consists of pull-outs, pull-ins, turns, broken U-turns and parking. Learn safe driving practices, follow rules, and pay adequate attention during lessons.

Remember the Smith System of Driving, be patient with pedestrians and other drivers, and drive with moderate speed.

DMV recommends a total of 50 hours of practice. If you practice regularly and get sufficient experience, passing a road test should be a piece of cake.

The DMV inspector is checking your basic skills and not looking for an expert driver during the test. Good control, a cautious approach, and being an alert driver are all you need to pass the road test.

Driving is not a luxury. It is a necessity.
